My role as a therapist is to help clients make adjustments in their lives that they have had difficulty making on their own, and I strive to provide a safe place within therapy to move forward with positive change. It is my hope that through our work together, you will come away with more awareness of yourself, improved relationships, and experience more contentment in life.
My primary focus in therapy are the present, current situations in your life, although examining the past can be helpful in getting to know you and bring awareness of established patterns to light. My work encompasses the whole person: thoughts, feelings, beliefs, behaviors and experiences, with the hope of helping you examine them to make the changes you desire in your life.
I am a licensed mental health counselor and national certified counselor who has worked with adults, adolescents, couples and families for over a decade. In addition to my practice, I also teach graduate psychology students and help prepare counselors for the clinical licensure exam. |
